VOLUNTEERISM

In Discovery Town we believe that our volunteers make a BIG difference in the lives of the children who attend. In Discovery Town, you can volunteer to work behind the scenes, like getting curriculum ready or art supplies ready, or you can serve at the Discovery Town Info Center, or you can serve directly with the children in a classroom. As a teacher or helper you are more than just a babysitter; as with any position in Discovery Town, you have the awesome opportunity to speak into the lives of our children the love and care that Jesus has for them.

New Volunteer Orientation Classes

Children are hungry to learn about Jesus and the salvation He offers. As a volunteer in Discovery Town you are able to use your gifts to reach children. We request volunteers to attend the New Volunteer Orientation Classes with Pastor Trisha on the first Sunday of every month during second service in Room 503. During this time there will be a presentation informing you about Discovery Town, the staff, and polices/procedures. We will also be taking your picture for your identifcation namebadge and doing a background check (fingerprinting). Please bring your driver's license. Background checks are done in the Volunteer Work Room, next to the Chapel in the Ministry Center.

Upcoming Fingerprinting dates:  September 5, October 3, November 7, & December 5.

Enrichments

Enrichments are opportunties to assist/equip you in serving, vision casting, celebrating you as our volunteers, connecting, and assisting with personal growth/care. We pray that you will take advantage of the great opportunites. Please mark your calendars and make it a priority to be all that you can be for the children and families of Discovery Town.
