In Discovery Town we believe that our volunteers make a BIG difference in the lives of the children who attend. In Discovery Town, you can volunteer to work behind the scenes, like getting curriculum ready or art supplies ready, or you can work the Discovery Town Info Center, or you can work directly with the children in a classroom. As a teacher or helper you are more than just a babysitter; as with any position in Discovery Town, you have the awesome opportunity to speak into the lives of our children the love and care that Jesus has for them.
Children are hungry to learn about Jesus and the salvation He offers. As a volunteer in Discovery Town you are able to use your gifts to reach children. There are Orientations the first Sunday of every month during second service in Room 409 for new volunteers: June 7 and July 6 are the next scheduled dates.
We also conduct Enrichment sessions that help equip you for your time as a volunteer in Discovery Town. Sundays 8:30 am - 9:45 am (breakfast 8:15 am) starting in the Student Life Center followed by area break-out sessions.
Here's a glimpse at what we are covering in upcoming 2008-2009 Enrichments:
- Sept. 21, Nov. 16, Jan. 11, March 22, and May 17 - watch for upcoming details.

One part of the security offered in Discovery Town is that we fingerprint all of our volunteers. The next fingerprinting sessions are scheduled in the Volunteer Work Room, next to the Chapel on these dates:
Saturdays after service or Sundays during 2nd service:
- July 5 & 6
- August 2 & 3
